“Future Medicine will be the medicine of frequency.” – Albert Einstein
It’s been over 100 years since Albert Einstein’s famous quote about frequency medicine and yet so many are still unaware of the power of sound. Often fooled by appearances we forget that we are energetic beings; vibrating energy which is in constant motion. This energy can be measured by the number of vibrations per second, known as “frequency” and measured in hertz. Just like many things, human perception isn’t all encompassing but is limited to a perceivable range. When it comes to sound, that range is between 20Hz and 20,000Hz, but that doesn’t mean because we can’t perceive it, that it doesn’t exist. Most understand this when it comes to hearing, recognizing that other animals and scientific instruments can measure sound outside of human range. Why am I pointing this out? Because it is imperative to understand that things aren’t always as they appear. We may seem solid and yet we are vibrating energy, that is constantly attuning to our environments, thoughts, food, and others. This attuning can be why we feel a lift in spirit when we encounter positivity, or why we feel depressed in a certain space. This is why having good energetic boundaries and smudging your space can be so imperative. Another way we can actively use this information to our benefit is by utilizing specific sound frequencies, known as Solfeggio frequencies, to calm the nervous system. As we attune to the vibratory frequency of these healing tones we come into greater health and harmony.
Historical Bases
The use of sound dates to ancient civilizations, including the Egyptians, who seem to have possessed higher knowledge of the use of sound on matter and consciousness. Later, the concept of Solfeggio frequencies was derived from the solmization (system of designating musical notes by syllable names) system used in medieval music. This original system was developed by Guido d’Arezzo, a monk and music theorist from the 8th century. Later the musical scale would be altered to add a note changing the scale from 6 to 7 notes. This change, disrupted the coding that Pythagoras, known as the “father of music” and the first to prescribe music as medicine, had discovered in mathematics. “Pythagoras believed that each celestial body, as well as every atom, produced a particular sound due to its movement, rhythm, or vibration, resulting in universal harmony. He asserted that music is omnipresent, governing all temporal cycles, such as seasons, biological cycles and the rhythms of nature.” (Micunonvic, “Solfeggio Frequencies) However, this change from 6 to 7 notes, altered the harmonious relationship that had been discovered in math, as well as, coding found in the Bible. Centuries later, this sacred coding of the numbers 3,6,9, was popularized by Tesla.

So What Are the Solfeggio Frequencies?
Solfeggio frequencies, are a group of tones that vibrate between the range of 174Hz – 963Hz. These frequencies have a ‘vibratory signature’ known to have a positive effect on us physically, emotionally, mental, and even spiritually. “Listening to these frequencies has been linked to reduced body tension and pain. It can also help slow down the heart rhythm and induce relaxation in the autonomous nervous system and muscles.” (Micunovic) We in fact also have a ‘vibratory signature’, as do the organs of the body, that tell a story about our state of being. This frequency is what is attracting in or repelling situations and people to us. In modern culture, we often make reference to this saying “they’re just not my vibe” or “we’re out of resonance” not fully comprehending the depth of these statements. Below, you will find a list of the Solfeggio frequencies and how they are commonly used.

How We Use Solgeggio Frequencies at The Starlight House
In addition to these benefits, Solfeggio frequencies can aid in enticing the brain into different brainwave patterns or states of consciousness. At The Starlight House, we couple the use of these frequencies with brainwave entrainment, which uses light and frequency following response to aid the body into moving into other states like Alpha, Theta, Delta and even Gamma. This assists the body in several ways, most importantly it helps the body to calm the nervous system, get out of fight or flight, and allow the body to heal itself. It also helps to stimulate the pineal gland, regulating serotonin and melatonin production, as well as enhancing communication with the higher self. In addition to sound and light, our sessions including feeling these frequencies. When laying on our custom sound bed, your body will feel these frequencies, further aiding our attunement.
The deeper you dive the more you’ll find the undeniable healing power of sound. Music, the universal mood shifter, can aid your daily life whether it be lifting your spirits, helping you to sleep or elevating your consciousness. Sound, the core building block of creation, informs not only us but everything in the Universe. We are all our own symphonies, so I ask you, what song are you broadcasting?
