Between Eclipses: A Guided Flower Journey Meditation

February 23, 2026

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of welcoming our community into ceremonial space at The Starlight House, where we gathered inside the Temple of the Rose to harness the potency of this rare celestial window. We are currently between eclipses — a liminal corridor of time that astrologers often refer to as an eclipse portal. These are not ordinary days. They are threshold moments. Choice points. Accelerated chapters.  Together, we consciously sought soul guidance for how our next six months are meant to unfold. Through my signature choose-your-own-adventure style meditation, each journeyer selected flower allies to support their intentions. These flowers were later woven into handcrafted smudge wands — living symbols of devotion to what is emerging, that will be burned at the next eclipse!

From this weekend’s event: Clarity

Now, you can take this journey at home.

Before you begin the meditation, however, let me expand your awareness of why this is such a potent window — and how flowers hold vibrational signatures that can support your becoming.

What Is an Eclipse?

An eclipse occurs when the Sun, Moon, and Earth align near what are called the Lunar Nodes — often referred to in astrology as the Nodes of Fate.  Astronomically speaking, the Earth orbits the Sun along a flat plane called the ecliptic. The Moon orbits the Earth, but at about a five-degree tilt relative to that plane. The two points where the Moon’s orbit crosses the Sun’s apparent path are called the North Node and South Node. These are not physical objects; they are mathematical points in space. Yet symbolically, they carry enormous meaning. The South Noderepresents familiarity, inherited patterns, karmic memory.  The North Node represents growth, evolution, and the direction of becoming. When a New or Full Moon occurs near these nodal points, the result is an eclipse!

Solar Eclipse (New Moon at a Node)

  • Identity resets
  • New beginnings
  • Course corrections

Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon at a Node)

  • Emotional culmination
  • Revelations
  • Endings

Eclipses accelerate timelines. They bring what is hidden into awareness and often create pressure that births clarity. To set intentions during an eclipse portal is to work with momentum already in motion.

Smudging: When it’s Time to Clear the Air

Don’t know about you, but after the year of the wood snake many of us are feeling the left over heaviness after so much shedding. In order to clear the path for what wants to be born, an energetic cleansing must occur. This is where smudging, or the ceremonial practice of burning sage comes in! Smudging is often misunderstood as simply “burning sage.” In truth, it is ceremony.

Each participant practiced smudging before entering the ceremonial space.

Practiced for generations by many Indigenous Nations across the Americas, smudging is a conscious ritual of purification, prayer, protection, and renewal.  Traditionally, herbs such as white sage, cedar, sweetgrass, and palo santo have been used — each with its own lineage and significance.

In modern contexts, people use smoke clearing for:

  • Energetic reset after conflict
  • Transitioning into a new home
  • Closing emotional chapters
  • Preparing for meditation or prayer
  • Marking a threshold moment

There is even research suggesting that smoke from certain medicinal herbs can reduce airborne bacteria — bridging the biological and the symbolic. But beyond science, ritual itself regulates the nervous system. When we smudge with intention, we signal to the body: “Something intentional is beginning.” Clarity is not just mental. It is energetic. Emotional. Spatial. For specific tips on how to start smudging, check out my guide here.

Once the air is clear, we can listen and create from a blank slate.

The Frequency of Flowers

Every bloom carries a vibrational signature — a unique emotional frequency shaped by structure, color, growth pattern, and elemental imprint. Some feel airy and etheric.
Some feel grounding and ancestral. Some feel solar and bright. Some feel mystical and devotional. In fact, the vibrational quality of flowers has been known and studied for over 100 years for their ability to work with the subtle body and shift deeply ingrained emotional patterns. Working with Bach Flower Remedies offer safe (for everyone, even pets) and effective ways to slowly change stubborn patterns by working with natural world.

In our ceremony, during the guided meditation participants selected a flower at each choice point that had the energetic signature that would support them throughout their next 6 months!

Now its your turn!

My recommendation is to spend a few moments in silent contemplation and then physically write out your intention for the next 6 months. A good intention is written in the present tense and is neither too vague nor too specific. We want something we can notice when it shows up, when we make our intention too exact, we can miss that the Universe has delivered it in a different package then we recognize! After you complete the mediation, you’ll find the energetic decoding of each option below and some ideas of how you can work with these flower allies to manifest your intentions.

The Meditation

Decoding Your Choices

Choice 1: Unicorn Baby’s Breath or Chamomile

Unicorn Baby’s Breath reintroduces magic where seriousness has settled in. If you chose this, your next six months may require lightness more than force.

Chamomile core vibration is calm restoration. If you chose this, your clarity may come through nervous system repair rather than dramatic change.

Choice 2: Veronica or Chrysanthemum

Veronica carries a refined, upward-reaching energy. If you chose this, your path forward may involve speaking truth with steadiness.

Veronica (Speedwell) carries a refined, upward-reaching energy. It supports: • Clear communication • Inner alignment • Devotion and fidelity • Mental clarity • Gentle confidence There is resilience in Veronica. It bends without breaking.

Chrysanthemum carries wisdom that has lived. If you chose this, your clarity may involve honoring how much you already know.

Choice 3: The Rose — Yellow or Purple

Before color, we acknowledge the rose as the master frequency. The rose is the geometric embodiment of the heart. Its spiral reflects sacred proportion — consciousness unfolding through love.

Energetically, all roses carry:

  • Heart coherence
    • Emotional intelligence
    • Devotion without self-erasure
    • Strength wrapped in softness
    • Gradual revelation
    • Sacred timing

The rose does not open all at once and the thorns matter. They symbolize sovereignty in love — the truth that love requires boundaries.

Yellow Rose

Joyful Affection & Solar Friendship. Yellow carries a solar frequency.

Purple Rose

Mystical Love & Soul Recognition. Purple bridges the heart and crown.

Ways to Work with Your Flower Allies

  • Place them on your altar or plant them in your garden
  • Create a floral smudging wand and burn at the next eclipse (like we did!)
  • Meditate on their qualities weekly
  • Start working with Bach flower remedies
  • Revisit your written intention in three months
  • Ask: “How am I embodying this frequency?”

Remember, the flower you chose is not random, it is a mirror.

Walking Forward Together

Eclipses remind us that life does not evolve in straight lines. It unfolds in spirals — through revelation, release, and courageous becoming.

The flowers you chose are not just symbolic. They are living teachers. Over the next six months, return to them. Notice where you are being invited to soften, to speak, to celebrate, to mature and to open your heart with wiser boundaries.

Clarity is not something we force into existence, it is something we create space to receive. If you feel called to practice in community — to meditate in sacred space, to experience sound healing, to craft ritual with your hands, to mark life’s thresholds with intention — we would love to welcome you.

At The Starlight House and inside the Temple of the Rose, we gather for guided meditations, ceremonial circles, creative ritual experiences, nervous system regulation practices, and embodied wellness gatherings designed to support your evolution.
