Collectively, and in our individual lives, we can all feel that something new is upon us. Whether it be the confusing political and social times, or the impact of new technologies, the fog is thick, and it’s harder the ever to decipher what’s real from fake. With AI now capable or replicating everything from our voices to the creation of images and videos, how do we navigate in a world where perceptions can be modified to the goals and agendas of those outside of ourselves? When we can no longer rely on our five senses to give us the information, we require it’s time to start honing our 6th sense. Our intuition, a deep well of information, can help us to filter through the fog and find what’s true for us. Dive with me through the development of the ‘clairs’, intuitive abilities available to every one of us. Learning how to strengthen and trust this form of wisdom can require practice, persistence and patience but is so worth the dedication.
The Clairs
What are commonly referred to as the ‘clairs’ include: clairalience, clairaudient, claircognizant, clairgustance, clairsentience (sometimes referred to clairempathy), and most often known, clairvoyance. These psychic or intuitive abilities develop as one raises the kundalini energy, balances the chakras and learn to work with and feel subtle energy. We all interact and give off subtle energy every day, even if it is an unfamiliar concept to us. This subtle energy might tune you into a ‘gut instinct’ or alert you to an unsafe environment. Sometimes referred to as chi (traditional Chinese medicine), prana (in yogic practices), vital force (homopathy) or orgone (as coined by Wilhelm Reich), this vital force permeates all living beings and relates to our overall health, as well as, playing a role in consciousness. There are several modalities centered on the movement of this subtle energy to maintain health and open the energy centers, or chakras, to cultivate psychic powers sometimes referred to as siddhas. These include yoga, ayurveda, qigong, t’ai chi, homeopathy, cranial sacral, Healing Touch, Energetic Freedom Technique and more. We can now even measure subtle energy by looking at the electromagnetic field in and around the body known as the biofield. New technologies like the Bio-well device, can actually look at how the subtle energy is moving through the nadis (from the Chinese meridian system) and effecting both the chakra system and the physical organs of the body. Such snapshots can help us to understand where psycho-emotional issues may begin to affect the body on a physical level or where blocks may occur. Working with modalities such as those mentioned about can help restore the flow and push energy up into the higher chakras where psychic and intuitive abilities may develop. More specifically the ‘clairs’ are defined as such (note those bolded are most commonly referenced):
Clairalience: The ability to smell what’s not present
Clairaudient: The ability to psychically hear
Claircognizant: The sense of clear knowing
Clairgustance: The ability to taste what isn’t present
Clairsentient: The ability to feel others’ feelings or emotions
Clairvoyant: The ability to psychically see nonphysical realities
Trusting Our Gifts
Part of our spiritual development includes TRUSTING the intuitive information that we receive. Often, we feel that nagging suspension that something isn’t right, but when we lack concrete evidence of our suspicions we override our intuition. However, intuition is like a muscle it requires conscious cultivation, which can simply be following those hunches even when they seem silly. As we begin to reaffirm our commitment to following this form of information, “this muscle” gets stronger. We learn to rely on it more and it in turn grows more robust. Working with practitioners well versed in subtle energy practices can also help us to “feel” and tune into this type of energy. We may begin to sense where we are blocked prior to any physical ailment or receive intutive ‘hits’. The pineal gland, known as the seat of the soul, can be paramount in developing these abilities and the cleansing from Fluoride and other toxic, calcifying agents is imperative. As we begin to open up this channel to our higher self and our intuitive wisdom, we are no longer “fooled” by pressures outside of ourselves telling us we must think of behave in a certain way. We already know what is right for us, also known as claircognizant. As these faculties develop it isn’t that we look away from the rational information of the 3D world, it’s that it’s enhanced by information in the field that may not apparent. Our relationship with life is enhanced as we feel guided by an unseen and yet very real force. Open up and welcome in this sense, it may prove to be imperative in the new Age.
